Puppets Courses

PUPPETS: Talking Science - Engaging Science project

Our research shows that puppets change classrooms where they are used for teaching science. We hope to replicate this impact across the UK through the PUPPETS: Talking Science - Engaging Science project.

This project is supported by GlaxoSmithKline (the pharmaceutical and healthcare company) as part of their science education programme in the UK. Millgate House also contributes to the project. The funding will enable training, puppets, stories and guidance material to be provided for 9,000 teachers over a three year period, beginning in September 2006.

Most of the training will be provided through Local Authorities and Science Learning Centres. Teachers wishing to get involved in the training should contact their Science Adviser or regional Science Learning Centre in the first instance. Alternatively please contact Millgate House Eduation Ltd to discuss other possibilities. (Email: info@puppetsproject.com)

When you book a place on a PUPPETS course, you will be asked to choose a resource pack which will be handed to you on the day. Here are the three sets from which you will be asked to make your selection.

Discovery Dog (5-7 years approx) Spellbound Science 1 (7-9 years approx) Spellbound Science 2 (9-11 years approx)
